Axiom – Don’t count your critics, weigh them

Any leader knows that sometimes you get criticised.  In fact, it is probably a lot more often than sometimes!  Criticism can be a really useful tool, or it can be a painful barb.  They key is learning to discern which comments to take on board and which to reject.

It could be easy to assume criticism carries more truth when it comes from an increasing number of people.  However, such a criteria takes no account of who those people are.  Instead of counting our critics, we should weigh them.  We may need to take account of the feedback from one really godly and wise person, while reject it from ten people who, experience has told us, have little wisdom.
