Axiom – You’ve got to deliver

Although the process of innovation and idea generation can seem hard, it can often be the easy bit.  Once we get into it, dreaming and imagining are not that tricky.  Ideas abound and the possibilities become endless.  However, none of it matters unless something gets done.

This axiom was inspired by popular blogger and marketing expert, Seth Godin, who often speaks about how ‘you’ve got to ship’.  The basic principle is the same.  Clever innovation, fantastic ideas and mind-blowing theories mean nothing unless there is a tangible outcome.  We have to do something about it.

I know that, as a leader of an organisation, ideas are not in short supply.  What makes the difference though, is when people are able to make something happen.  Then we move forward and get that bit closer to fulfilling our vision.
