Where do good ideas come from? Part 2

In a previous post I shared a link in which Stephen Johnson summarises some of his findings regarding where good ides come from.

In the video, Johnson highlights the fact that innovation does not often happen in the way we sometimes think it does; that is via the sudden inspiration of a lone genius.  In fact it is more often the result of a network of people.  To support this he charts some of the major advancements in the last two hundred years on a chart which shows us that innovation is not primarily about individual work or about indeed corporations.
