GLS2012 – 6 – Pranitha Timothy – Courage to Act

Following on from Carly Fiorina, Pranitha Timothy reminds us again that leadership is often not easy. Pranitha also brought into perspective the challenges that I face!

For me the challenge in this session was to remember that when we give ourselves to God, everything changes. It something that most of us know, but somehow we find it easy to forget. There was also a powerful challenge regarding trust. Do we honestly trust God as much as we should?

Here is the session breakdown:

I. “He Will Not Shout”

a. Isaiah 42:1-3, 6-7

II. Broken and Empty

III. We Are Called to Serve

a. We are called to serve a God who is already at work

b. Being humble does not mean God will never ask us to do something that requires great strength

IV. This Life Belongs to God

a. The proper source of strength and courage is a willful decision to remember our lives are God’s

b. Our families are safer in God’s hands than in ours

V. God is Good

a. Our faith must encompass a God who is completely and utterly good, even in a broken world

b. Knowing God is good gives us hope
